Terms of Use

Last updated: 26 June 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the KanjiBrush app (“the app”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use KanjiBrush for your own personal, non-commercial study, in accordance with these Terms and with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

Subscriptions and billing

  • KanjiBrush offers an optional premium subscription that unlocks all grades and study modes. It is available as a Monthly plan and an Annual plan. Prices are shown in the app before you purchase and may vary by region (for example, US $4.99 / month or US $29.99 / year).
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple’s policies and applicable law. Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app or its content, and not to use the app in any unlawful way.

Educational content

KanjiBrush is a study aid. While we work to keep readings, meanings, and stroke-order data accurate, the content is provided for learning purposes and may contain errors. It is not a substitute for professional or academic instruction.

Disclaimer

The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KanjiBrush and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Apple standard EULA

Unless you have a separate written agreement with us, your use of the app is also governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
