KanjiBrush (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a kanji-learning app. We built it to be private by design. This policy explains what information the app does and does not handle.
We do not require an account, we do not ask for your name or email, and we do not run any third-party advertising or analytics. Your study data stays on your device.
Your learning progress — which kanji you’ve studied, streaks, study time, and drawing scores — is saved locally on your device only. It is not transmitted to us and we cannot see it. Deleting the app removes this data.
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment details. To manage your subscription entitlement, we use RevenueCat, which assigns a random, anonymous identifier and records your subscription status (for example, whether premium is active). This is not linked to your real-world identity. Apple’s handling of your purchase is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
When you tap to hear a kanji read aloud, the app uses your device’s built-in text-to-speech. No audio or text is sent to our servers.
None. KanjiBrush contains no advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics or tracking. We do not track you across apps or websites.
If you have enabled “Share With App Developers” in your iOS settings, Apple may provide us with anonymized, aggregated crash and usage statistics. This is controlled by you in iOS Settings and is handled by Apple.
KanjiBrush is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because your study data lives on your device, you are in control of it — remove it any time by deleting the app. For any question about data associated with a purchase, contact us and we’ll help.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
